Oklahoma visit!!

The baby and I made a trip down to Oklahoma last weekend! I mean, wherever I go the baby goes, but I would like to think that the baby loved it's trip! We had such a great time, it was hard to leave. My two-year-old nephew has recently broken his femur (thigh bone) and is in a half-body cast and my sister also has a three week old baby! Talk about having your hands full!! So I wanted to go down to help out in whatever way I could. I got to spend most of my time with Arden, the nephew that broke his leg. I have always felt a special bond with Arden since I got to watch him be born into this world. We bonded even more this trip! He is SOOO Sweet!
This is pretty much what we did all weekend, lay around. At least I tried my hardest to get him to lay down, but what 2 year old doesn't want to walk and run! He can't do those things so it got a little frustrating for him, poor guy!
It was also his birthday while I was there so I got to give him a present from Brandon and I! Cat told me what to get him and let me give him the present that she knew would be the favorite! He loves his new Woody toy.
Also, I got to test my skills at being a mom to a newborn! I will say that at first I felt so terrible and was nervous to become a mom and have all the responsibility myself. But as the weekend went on, I got the hang of it a little more and a feel a lot more prepared. Catherine says that it is easier when it is your own child, which I am sure is true, but secretly I do wish that she or my other sister Lea could be there for the beginning so that they can take over if needed. Baby Nile is so precious and so sweet too. The pictures are a little blurry so sorry!!

28 Weeks!

Hello there! I am hoping to keep you guys updated from week to week, especially until the baby gets here! I am currently 28 weeks and 4 days. I just went to the Dr. yesterday and she said that everything looks good! I am so blessed and thankful that I do not have one of those super eventful pregnancies, if you know what I mean. Everything seems to be going routinely and smoothly! I am praying that that continues to be the case! Anyhow, here are the pics of me this week! I have had several requests to take my pictures with something other than my computer because you all think the angle is bad. It is always so hard because I never think to do it when Brandon is here, so I am always by myself. Let me know what you think of these and maybe you won't think that I look SOOOO huge as some of you have suggested! ;) Now I am warning you, I did not make myself pretty for these, so just look at my belly, that is the whole point of the pictures anyways!

The Adventure Begins...

Well, I am finally here to start blogging and reporting about our family activities! With the arrival of our new little one about 10 weeks away, I thought that it would be a good time to start! Most of you know that my free time will become less and less frequent in the coming months! So... here I am. My pregnancy has been relatively uneventful thus far, which I am very thankful for. Everything is going pretty good and I am still feeling good, not too uncomfortable yet. The hardest part is finding a comfortable position to sleep in. It's a shame that even the few months before your baby is here you can't get a good nights sleep. Well, here are the cute pics of our little bundle at 21 weeks.
We don't know the sex, but I have mixed feelings. Somedays I think that it is a girl, but mostly a boy, just the way that I am carrying it. Here is what I look like at 27 weeks!
