So they say there is a blizard coming...

It is forcasted that this week, Chicago will be hit with a HUGE snow storm. I went to the store today for my regular bi-monthly shopping trip, and the store was crazy! There were tons or people and the shelves were bare. I can only assume people are stocking up because they are afraid that they won't be able to get out for a few days. ANYWAYS, there is a cuter reason for this post. I wanted to show you all that Levi is ready to "Hibernate" through the storm!

Hopefully Brandon and I can stay as warm as Levi through the storm... if it actually comes! ;) I am thankful that I don't have to hope to get a snow day off work when there is a storm predicted! Everyday is a snow day!

Birthdays! I LOVE birthdays!

January is our big month of birthdays. Brandon and I both have our birthday's this month. Brandon surprised me by making fondue and giving me tickets to go see Les Miserables! (pronunciation is still out for debate! Haha!) We are going in February and I am very excited! Levi won't be going with us though, but it should be a fun date! :) Brandon also made me a cookie cake to celebrate! It was very yummy!

Then for Brandon's bday I surprised him early with Bulls tickets! Brandon loves the Bulls and I love the Mavs and it just so happened that they were playing each other the week before Brandon's birthday. This is what he found when he came home from work when I surprised him with the tickets!

We had a great time at the Bulls game, even though the Bulls won. :( It was a close game and I know that the Mavs will get 'em next time!

Dear Helen,

This post is for my sweet cousin Helen who adamantly checks my blog, only to be disappointed that I haven't posted anything! :) Or if I have, it is a video and she can't view it at work. Levi is almost 9 months and getting so smart and mobile! He is starting to crawl some on his hands and knees, but mostly prefers getting around by walking around the edge of the room while holding onto anything that will support him. I had to laugh the other day when we were having a play date with Levi's sweet friend Judah (and also having a good conversation with his sweet Mommy, Bekah to entertain Levi's Mommy) who is only two months older than Levi but a lot more mobile than him. Levi tried to use Judah as his "firm foundation" to get from standing up with the chair, to the floor. Needless to say Judah was not quite as "firm" as mommy usually is and they both almost went tumbling over! :) Good thing the mommy's were close by. Anyways, here are some recent pics of cutie Levi! He is just getting so big!

My son is the cutest thing ever!!! I have recently started making kissy faces to Levi....I guess that it has started to stick!

Levi's First Christmas!

I didn't really have high expectations for Levi with Christmas this year. I thought that he wouldn't really show much emotion to get presents. Boy was I wrong! He never ceases to amaze me! He was all full of smiles, not only for the paper, but for what was under the paper. It was fun to watch! Here are a couple videos of him opening his two big presents, one from each set of grandparents. Thanks Mimi & Papa, and Grammy & Grandpa!

After presents, we ventured outside for Levi's first official play time in the show. He didn't really have too much to say about it... I know that later on he will love it though!

Cute Cousin

We were fortunate to be able to go on a vacation with ALL of my family last month. It was fun to be able to actually have a babe to add to the cousin mix. Nile is the cousin who is closest to Levi's age and a lot of people thought that they were twins! He is four months older than Levi and super cute. For some reason when I would talk to him, he would get so excited and flex all the muscles in his body. I wanted to get it on video because it was so funny! He is such a cutie!

6 Months and Crawling!

Today is a BIG day! Levi turns 6 months today!!! I can't believe how fast this is all going by. I mean, in a way it feels like I have been a mom forever, but in others, I can't believe how big and strong and fun Levi is! Here is a cute pic of him just the other day in one of his new favorite toys, the laundry basket!

He has been starting to sit up so well lately and when he sits in this, he doesn't fall over! He loves it and I like it because I don't have to sit right behind him. And now is the video that I am so happy I was able to capture! Levi started doing the army crawl! He has been on the verge of crawling for the past few weeks now and today he finally figured it out. He's not going very far or fast but I'm OK with that. I don't think I am ready for this cutey to REALLY be crawling yet. I want him to stay small!! And I need to baby proof the house before he really gets going. Here is my sweety!
